Main Description
The client: * Our client is a direct partner of a leading IT organization – A leader in hardware and a pioneer organization that sets the standard for the market  * They do Localization and QA projects for leading software and applications * The role would be based on the client site in their European Headquarters in State of art office  * The role is based in Cork, second largest city in Ireland.  The role: * Linguistic QA * Hands-on translation performed on software and applications. * Utilizing internal tools to identify changes with localization impact. * Bug monitoring, escalation, reporting and resolution. * Identifying tools and process enhancements. * Maintaining style guide and language glossaries. Your profile: * Degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or related discipline * Native in Swedish and fluency in English  * Experience with computer aided translation tools and systems. * Experience in large volume of technical translations for end-user software products. * Experience in translating for specific product types, e.g. - high end video/audio software products * Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills are essential. * Knowledgeable in, and sensitive to, multilingual and multicultural issues. * Experience localizing software on Mac OS X and/or Microsoft Windows. * Experience with localization/installation tools * QA experience. * Experience with translation memory software.
